RCMP amend release in Wal-mart mask incident

Originally RCMP asked for both people related to a Wal-mart mask assault - but have since realized one of the people was previously charged on the matter.

"An arrest warrant has been issued for the female suspect only, the involved male has previously been compelled to cppear in court regarding the matter," noted RCMP Tuesday morning.

Charges have now been laid against the involved male and female relating to the assault of a Walmart employee on November 25, 2020 after both suspects had been requested to wear their mask upon entry into the store.

"Arrest warrants are presently outstanding for both involved suspects. The involved male has been charged with Assault and Mischief under $5000 (relating to the intentional damage of the victim's cellphone during the altercation). The involved female has been charged with Assault," say RCMP officials today.

"At this time, police will not be releasing the names of the involved suspects. However, both suspects are encouraged to turn themselves in immediately, in order to address the outstanding arrest warrants."
