Nov. 11 ceremony to be at Mercer Hall this year

Mercer Hall is located in the rear of the Encana Events Centre.

If you are looking to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies at Unchagah Hall, you can forget it. The facility will not be ready in time from construction and interior improvements.

“The day of programming will be at Mercer Hall,” says Day Roberts noting beyond the location change to the rear of the Encana Events Centre, frequent attendees of the long standing tradition should expect to see no changes.

Day notes the Unchagah Hall had been a steadfast location after the decision was made to move a bulk of the Nov. 11 ceremony indoors instead of in front of the Dawson Creek cenotaph, now approximately 15 years ago.
