Northern Health jumps to 77 COVID-19 cases

Eight cases announced in Northern Health region Thursday.

Thirty new cases of COVID-19 were announced in British Columbia - with eight coming from Northern Health region.

"Today, we are announcing 30 new cases, for a total of 3,392 cases to date. There are 304 active cases; 16 people are hospitalized, 3 of whom are in ICU. There has been one new death," said officials this afternoon.

190 people have died in BC. 2,898 people have recovered.

By region:

Northern Health = 77

Vancouver Coastal Health = 1051

Fraser Health = 1750

Island Health = 142

Interior Health = 315

People who reside outside Canada = 57
