Voting starts this morning for the semi-final rounds of the Maxim Cover Girl Calendar contest - and two women with Dawson Creek ties are still right there in the running.
More than half a dozen women from the Peace Region entered the competition, and Dawson Creek based residents Jennifer Mollinga (Nguyen) and Lou Potter are through to the semi-final dance.
"This has been such a cool experience, I didn't expect this kind of support," notes Potter upon hearing her move to the semis. Potter, safety health officer in oil and gas, has also seen her songs charted on Billboard.
Potter is the midst of waiting for mixing and mastering of her latest single 'Watch It Burn', which could drop before summer starts.
Jennifer (Mollinga) Nguyen notes she is spreading her wings slightly as she calls it "an elderly model" in her 30s. Modesty is a virtue, because of the Maxim exposure, Nguyen has just been picked up by Inked Magazine and asked to compete in a cover model competition - that also starts today for voting.
North Peace resident Meriah Alberts has also noted for this Inked competition.
