Mile Zero has a $500,000 lottery winner

Stephen Gibson is $500,000 richer.

Gibson picked up and verified a winning daily grand draw ticket earlier this month, and matched all the extra numbers for $500,000.

“This is great news going into the holidays,” says Gibson, noting he picked up the ticket at the Dawson Creek Co-op Gas bar.

“When it was checked the bells and whistles went off,” he said.

Matt Lee with BCLC said Gibson would be sharing the wealth of the win.

Gibson said the win would be shared with work friends, as the ticket was a work group purchase.

“It’s going to be split evenly,” he said. ‘Tis the season.
