“Our committee had a lot of really fabulous causes and projects to choose from this fall and we appreciate everyone who applied,” says Lori Archibald, LVCU CEO. “We have a tough time with the applications, because there are so many worthy causes, and so much going on in the region we want to support. We have a hard time picking.
“I was particularly impressed by the diversity of projects we got to see. The variety of ways which people are pitching in and working to support and grow the community is something we should all be very proud of and something Lake View Credit Union is proud to support.”
The funds are allocated bi-annually by a committee comprised of employees and board directors.
Over the year, $50,000 has gone out to local non-profits through the program.
Those interested in applying can do so twice annually during the spring and fall intake which happen from March-April and September-October. Applications and eligibility guidelines are available through www.lakeviewcreditunion.com.
