Vancouver based lawyer Tony Laagemat has been appointed as Stacy Ray Laglace’s lawyer. Laglace, 32, made a brief appearance in Dawson Creek court this week, and will appear later this month to set date for a bail hearing.
Laglace was arrested in Fort St. John on June 28, during a shoplifting investigation at Walmart. He faces a long list of 21 charges, including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, kidnapping, and robbery.
Laglace was scheduled bail hearing on July 10 in Fort St John, however, that was moved to a later date. He remains in custody. RCMP had been searching for Laglace since January.
