Lake View Credit Union drops $5K on Peace Region students

Lake View Credit Union is proud to once again be providing five, $1,000 bursaries to graduating students throughout the Peace through its annual bursary program. 

The bursary program is an annual initiative that offers graduating members of Lake View Credit Union who will be attending post-secondary school in the next two years an opportunity to receive $1,000 in order to help offset the costs of their continuing education.

Graduating students receiving bursaries for 2019 are: 

 

Adam Wangler, Dawson Creek Secondary School 

Haley McKechnie, Dawson Creek Secondary School

Katelin Blunden, Tumbler Ridge Secondary School

Kayla Castle, Chetwynd Secondary School

Liberty Schram, South Peace Secondary School

“Education and investing in youth is one of our core values at Lake View Credit Union. Communities are only as strong and vibrant as the next generation, and if what we saw from these applicants is any indication, the Peace Region is should be in very good hands for some time to come.” stated Lori Archibald, CEO of Lake View Credit Union, adding, “Congratulations to all of our recipients and thank you to all that applied. I have no doubt that some very bright futures lie ahead for such exceptional youths.” 

Lake View Credit Union’s charitable giving and community engagement initiatives are one hundred percent member funded. 

The employees and directors of the Community Social Responsibility Fund Committee would like to thank all of the bursary applicants for their submissions and wish them the best on their future endeavors. 

Those interested in applying for the bursary in the future, it is required that you be a member of Lake View Credit Union no later than March of the year you apply. Additionally, Lake View Credit Union provides financing and fee free accounts to students up to 25 years of age.
