It’s Dawson Creek Exhibition time!

Yee-haw – it’s 2018 Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede season!

Parades, pancakes, perhaps deep-fried pickles. Rodeo performances? Please. Community. The theme of the 2018 fair and exhibition is Agriculture is our Future.

On Wednesday, Western Chuckwagon Association races kick off in field action, before giving way to World Professional Chuckwagon Association heats, with evening closing action of the SKK Chartered Professional Accountants Kids Calf Scramble. 

Thursday kicks off with fair grounds, food and fair booth openings, draft horse halter action at 8 am, as well as horse, sheep, slack action and more throughout the day. The midway and Waterin’ Hole both open at 4pm. 6pm sees the Kiddies Parade in downtown DC, chucks and calf scramble action and more before fireworks at 10:30pm. 

Friday at 10 am sees the 2018 DC Exhibition parade through Dawson, while the Canadian Pro Rodeo Tour Grand Entry, Drill Team, Miss Rodeo Canada kicks off at 1:15pm before Canadian Pro Rodeo Tours on both Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday sees a Gospel Music Festival, and a Picnic in the Park with Miss Rodeo Canada for children 6-12. Canadian Pro Rodeo Tour Grand Entry, Drill Team, Miss Rodeo Canada, Canadian Professional Rodeo Tour, Heavy Horse Pull finals, Kids Wild Horse Race finals, Western Chuckwagon Association finals, the $5K Dash for Cash and the World Professional Chuckwagon Association finals the $10K Dash for Cash all go Sunday.  

Trade show organizers expect a unique list of exhibits, offering the latest products, techniques, education and services available for agriculture, home décor and commercial industries.
