First Mile Zero cannabis store has been greenlit

*13th in the province

It’s Friday - and he’s the 13th cannabis store approved in British Columbia.

“I’ll take some of the Jason Voorhees strain,” says a potential customer to Starbuds owner Matt Rivard.

While not officially open, Rivard got the greenlight to open and is simply awaiting arrival of product to sell, warming up and otherwise cold weather weekend.

“It’s been a long road,” he says in the Starbuds location on 8th Street looking like a cross between a Mile High Pilot lounge complete with electronic product arrival board, and health spa with Egyptian motif.

“As soon as product arrives – we’ll be rolling,” he said answering in influx of calls from staff.
