Eighth annual Jail N’ Bail raises $15,035 for cancer

Last Wednesday, 19 Dawson Creek residents were arrested… for charity.

Police came to the offices and homes of these individuals and took them to the “jail” at the Lake View Credit Union parking lot.

The only hope for early release was getting their families and friends to “bail” them out — with the proceeds going towards Tour de North and the Canadian Cancer Society.

In total, with the help of a Mr. Mike’s barbecue, $15,035 was raised.
