Driver wanted by RCMP after cyclists struck, and vehicle flees scene

RCMP are looking for a driver involved in a Monday evening hit and run in Dawson Creek.

On Monday, June 29, 2020 at a 6:35 p.m., Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a report of two cyclists who had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 105th Avenue and 8th Street.

Both riders sustained injury and were taken to hospital in stable condition. One of the cyclists was dragged by the vehicle for a short distance.

The suspect failed to remain at the scene, however, witnesses were able to help police identify the vehicle and the driver involved in the crash.

Although multiple witnesses have come forward, the police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or have any information about it.
