DC RCMP confirm stabbing

Dawson Creek RCMP have confirmed a stabbing occurred in the downtown core last week.

“It looked like the arrest was slightly up the street from the circle on the Alaska Highway last Wednesday,” said a business owner this morning.

“There was a stabbing. The suspect was identified, arrested, and charged,” says DC RCMP Staff Sgt. Damon Werrell, noting the injury was minor in scope.

“(We’re) not looking for anyone.”

Area residents close to the downtown core said that after the incident - those involved were seen in the area before subsequent police attendance.
