Dawson Creek Walmart masks up - somewhat

While most customers through the doors at Dawson Creek Walmart this morning - some still were walking in without mask.

"Today is the day," noted a greeter this morning. The company has instituted a mandatory mask policy for all customers in Canada starting Wednesday.

Dr. Bonnie Henry said she doesn’t expect mandatory mask-wearing in outdoor spaces, but could be looked at if community transmission increases in places like public transit and retail stores.

"I don't mind it," said shopper David Tagarino this morning.

Felicia Fefer, manager of corporate affairs for Walmart Canada, noted last week the requirement will now apply to customers and workers at all locations where a government mandate to wear a face covering isn’t already in place.
