Dawson Creek Library now closed on Sundays

April 14 sees library closed.

If you are looking to read in the Dawson Creek Library on Sundays you can forget it – due to City of Dawson Creek cutting more than $100,000 from the library this year – they are now closed one day a week.

As reported last month, an immediate impact to city budget cuts was to be literature.

Dawson Creek Public Library's Pamela Morris said the library board presented a budget to the City of Dawson Creek for 2019 that was already $50,000 less than expected.

“Another $59,400 was cut – so it is nearly a $110,000 difference we are looking at this year,” she said.
