Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and Fort Nelson post offices on rotating strike

Canada Post employees in the Peace region are noting they will be part of rotating strike action this morning.

Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Fort Nelson will be joining striking workers today, said a Dawson Creek mail carrier to the Dawson Creek Mirror Tuesday morning. Prince George was also expected to strike Tuesday.

More than 6,000 Canada Post employees in Montreal walked off the job Monday night, along with postal workers in several other cities as ongoing, rotating daily strikes are hatched throughout Canada.

A Canadian Union of Postal Workers rep said the Montreal walkout began at 10:30pm Monday.
