City secures hanging baskets

The City of Dawson Creek awarded a three-year contract to secure 100 hanging baskets each year to Dawson Recreation & Landscaping Ltd. (Hillside Garden).

The company was the only bidder in the request for quotations that went out March 6 and closed March 22.

Staff note the hanging baskets must be delivered on the Tuesday following Victoria Day annually and must be in bloom and ready to display in key locations throughout the community.

“Through previous contracts with the City, this proponent has illustrated that they are experienced, trained and capable,” wrote Ross deBoer, General Manager of Community Services, in a report to council.
