Better at Home - making it better at home

Services for seniors, sustainability help, volunteers, bus tours and more, Better at Home is there for Mile Zero.

Funded by the province and managed by the United Way, Better at Home provides services or referrals to seniors 65 and older who are living independently in Dawson Creek. Barriers seniors may face include house cleaning, friendly visits, home care, transportation, snow removal and or yard work.

'Better at Home' originated with the pilot project "CASI" (Community Action for Seniors Independence). In January 2010, Dawson Creek was offered the opportunity to become one of the first communities to design, create, and implement a non-medical home support program.

Most services are provided by local volunteers and the office is located in the Dawson Creek Co-op Mall. For more information call 250-782-2341.
