BC sees single day COVID-19 record hit

Northern Health reaches more than 200 cases.

Dr. Bonnie Henry announced Wednesday that 139 - a single day record - was achieved for COVID-19 diagnosis in British Columbia.

Living with COVID-19 could be years, she added this afternoon.

"Since the start of the pandemic we have adpated and learned. We need to continue to live, to learn, and adapt. What we have tried to do is make adjustments. Now we are getting ready for what may lie ahead."

Henry touched upon the fact today was the first day back for children throughout the province.

"I know this can be exciting and anxious, no more so than this year as we are going back to school in the midst of a global pandemic," noted Henry.
