Bannister Ford and Aspol Motors come together

Starting September 4, the two Ford dealerships in Dawson Creek will officially amalgamate as Aspol Motors will become part of the Bannister Ford family.

Starting in 1953, Fran Schilds, an eager 18-year-old started an automotive career at Capital Motors, which in 1953 was the Mercury dealer from Pouce Coupe. In 1955 Fran was hired at Aspol Motors as a delivery driver. While staying in the parts position for 20 years, in 1969 Schilds became a partner in the business.

Now more than six decades later, the Schilds family sees the importance of their business stepping into the future.

Bannister Ford representatives said they are humbled, and honoured to carry forward the Aspol Motors legacy in the Mile 0 City.
