AXIS - connecting community and a family resource

Axis Family Resources delivers community based social services while enhancing the lives of clients, employees, and of course, community.

Residential services are for children, youth and adults with behavioral challenges, including FASD and Autism. Family care homes, therapeutic care homes and short stay housingare offered. Amongst other matters, Axis works on securing employment for many clients.

“Places like No Frills, The Mirror, is the kind of attitude we need for our clients - guidance that this is a first job, a responsibility, and potentially a step up,” says Melvin Mohan, program manager for the northeast.

Some clients have aged out - but it’s about community inclusion, and clients getting employment skills.

“We’re helping family stay connected, or creating new families right here with staff and clients,” says northeast branch manager Linda Gilowski.

Community living services can include specialized residential services, professional support, crisis response for adults, or community living.
