Another coronavirus case announced for Dawson Creek

Thursday brought 148 new cases of COVID-19 to BC - including one to a Dawson Creek car dealership.

General manager at Browns' Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd Aaron Powell informed customers and visitors to the store on Facebook today.

 "We are choosing to close our doors for Friday, Saturday and Sunday to do a thorough cleaning and sanitization. During this time, all our employees will closely monitor their health and be aware of any symptoms. We will resume regular hours on Monday, September 28," noted Powell.

Other staff note Northern Health have a customer list and will be in touch.

There are 1,371 active cases in British Columbia, 3,417 people who are under active public health monitoring and 6,917 people the province has declared have recovered.

61 individuals are hospitalized, 20 of whom are in ICU. There have been a total of 8,543 cases announced in BC.

Fraser Health – 4,361

Vancouver Island – 203

Interior Health – 520

Northern Health – 278

Outside Canada – 87
