Access Awareness Day in Dawson Creek

Coming up soon is Access Awareness Day in Dawson Creek.

“Accessibility and inclusion is essential for ensuring that all community members have equity in opportunities and the ability to fully participate in community life,” said Mayor Dale Bumstead.

“We all have a role to play in ensuring that our communities are as accessible and inclusive as possible.”

While the actual day falls on Saturday, there will be a free barbecue Wednesday, June 6 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at NAR Park, by the Art Gallery, hosted by the Dawson Creek Society for Community Living. They will be celebrating their 60th anniversary this year.
