A smoky haze is in the Peace region air

It's smoking out there.

Weather bloggers have cut and pasted a hazy air warning from Environment Canada, noting the Peace Region will see smoky skies. Wildfires often cause smoke and wind then blows that smoke.

“Wildfire smoke is a natural part of our environment but it is important to be mindful that exposure to smoke may affect your health,” says the Government of Canada in a release.

The provincial government has released a SSB; or a Smoky Skies Bulletin for the area. A SSB is to let people know about wildfire smoke in the air.

Environment Canada notes those with pre-existing health conditions, the elderly, infants, children and sensitive individuals are more likely to experience health effects. It is also unclear at the moment if this haze is similar to the one that many in media walk around in each and every day. A developing story.
