Sentences and fines handed out in provincial courts July 20 to 24, 2020:

Fort St John

• Charles Victor Morris (born 1990) was sentenced to zero days and issued a one-year probation order for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, committed in Charlie Lake in August 2019.

• Michael John Silliphant (born 1994) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Fort St. John in July 2019.

• Ricky Wesley Wokeley (born 1972) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Pink Mountain in May 2018.

• Mark Roy Apsassin (born 1984) was issued a 10-year mandatory firearms ban, a 12-month probation order, and was subject to forfeiture for possession of a firearm contrary to court order, committed in Doig River in July 2018.

• Julian Dayne William Fellers (born 1997) was granted a conditional discharge with a six-month probation order, and ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge for mischief $5,000 or under, committed in Baldonnel in August 2019.

• Brian Horne (born 1955) was issued a suspended sentence with a one-year probation order for possession of stolen property under $5,000, committed in Fort St. John in June 2019.

• Kara Lynn Rouble (born 1983) was granted a conditional discharge with a six-month probation order for willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, committed in Fort St. John in June 2019.

• Kurtis Daniel Leney (born 1992) was fined $500 and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving without a driver’s licence, committed in Fort St. John in January 2019.

• Arlan Zarate (born 2000) was granted a conditional discharge and handed one year of probation for breach of undertaking, committed in Charlie Lake in September 2019.  

Dawson Creek

• Kenneth Walker (born 1974) was granted an 18-month conditional sentence, ordered to provide a DNA sample, and given one year of probation for assault causing bodily harm, and granted a six-month conditional sentence with a one-year probation order for forcible entry, both committed in Dawson Creek in June 2019.

• Matthew Harvey Roth (born 1991) was granted a conditional discharge with one year of probation, and ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge for mischief, committed in Dawson Creek in August 2019.
