Winter storm warning

A winter storm warning is in effect for Highway 97 and the Pine Pass

Environment Canada says hazardous winter conditions are expected, with snowfall amounts from 15 to 25 cm expected by midday.

"A frontal system crossing the Yukon and norther BC will continue give snow to the region this morning," Environment Canada said.

"Snow is expected to ease for most areas later this morning."

Environment Canada says rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations, and that motorists should prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
