Walk around DC: episode #11 - Carlsonia Theatre.

Each week throughout the summer we’ll feature a Mile Zero milestone for locals to rediscover and tourists to check out for the very first time!

Johnny Carlson built the theatre on the spot of 102 Ave. and 11 Street and admission was .25 in 1930.

 Carlson added a dance hall to the theatre in 1942 when the USArmy arrived for highway construction.
