Pow Wow to bring powerful photos to Mile Zero

People and words of wisdom is what POW WOW is all about - a new series of photographic portraits, of Elders from Indigenous communities in northern BC.

Presented by Tryna Gower and Theresa Gladue, the opening reception goes October 5 from 1 to 4pm at the DCAG, while over at Nawican, the centre will be open at 2pm with an Elder’s Feast beginning at 4pm.

“There will be light refreshments along with Indigenous cultural performances by jiggers, drummers, dancers and beadwork will be featured during the event.” The exhibition is open from October 1 to November 2.
