Longhorn Oilfield Services has stepped up to host a Pay-It-Forward matinee performance of their upcoming musical production, Elf.
“Longhorn has sponsored an entirely free matinee of the DCCS’s Elf the Musical JR. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Calvin Kruk Centre Theatre,” says DC Choral Society executive director Caitlyn Triebel.
This Pay-It-Forward Performance is a chance for Longhorn Oilfield Services and the Dawson Creek Choral Society to bring music, theatre and magic to those individuals who might otherwise not get a chance to experience this musical event. Tickets are entirely free for up to 180 nominees.
Nominations are open for anyone who is in need of something extra this Christmas season, who has gone above and beyond in the community this year, who’s never seen a musical before, who might otherwise not be able to afford tickets to Elf the Musical JR, or who has simply made yours or someone else’s day a little bit better this holiday season. You can nominate your group, family, or individual at: https://dcchoralsociety.org/elf-the-musical/pay-it-forward/
Elf the Musical JR. is the Choral Society’s 5th major musical production. Program Director, Randi Jo Torgrimson felt that a Christmas production would be a perfect time to provide an opportunity for those who might otherwise not have it, to attend the performance and see what these amazing kids can do.
“Last year, we had a princess for a show, and this year, we want to reach out to more people. 180 people, to be exact,” Torgrimson adds.
“So we are asking you to help us fill the seats with those who would love this production as much as we do, for those who want to laugh and experience the joy of the holiday season in the best way we know how to provide it: musical entertainment.”
Tickets for all other Elf the Musical JR. performances at Pop-Up Box Office events around town up until December 6th. Find out where the Box Office is by visiting https://dcchoralsociety.org/2019-20/
