Behind the Words – art and short form words combine for fundraising power

This weekend brings a masquerade of sorts to the Dawson Creek Art Gallery. Fifty lottery tickets will be sold for 50 pieces of art at $100 each.  Cocktails from 6pm, with the draw starting at 7pm sharp on November 3.

Each lottery ticket holder will receive free admission to the Masquerade event that evening. Masquerade event tickets include a Venetian masquerade mask, drink ticket and appetizers through out the evening.

Tickets are limited, there will only be 50 lottery tickets and 75 masquerade admission ticket available. 

The artwork will be wrapped in paper with a verse or poem hinting about the art hidden beneath. This is how all the pieces will be displayed for the evening.

At the event a ticket draw will decide the order that ticket holders will select their piece based on the words and their intuition and best guess.

Lottery tickets are vailable online at Eventbrite and at the DC Art Gallery.
